When crime and violence threaten our community, it is an unwelcome intruder that can leave you feeling powerless against its attacks. 

 

With a wife and three children who have grown up, played, studied, and worked in our community, I understand the need for a safe and worry-free environment where crime is not tolerated.

 

As a young police officer in Hamilton County, I consistently led in criminal arrests and worked to keep our community safe.  I was promoted through the ranks, serving as sergeant, lieutenant, patrol division commander/captain, and criminal investigations division commander/captain.  In 2019, I was selected by Sheriff Dennis Quakenbush to serve as the chief deputy.  I have more than 26 years of service in law enforcement with more than 15 years in executive level leadership.  As the current Chief Deputy, I manage approximately 250 men and women who have a track record of keeping Hamilton County one of the safest places to live in the United States.

 

As your sheriff, I will lead a proactive agency that is tough on crime. We will focus on internet crimes against children and those illegally possessing and using firearms. You can count on a jail staff who works hard and utilizes community resources to help inmates turn from their crime and addiction and work to become productive members of our community.

 

As a result, you will continue to live in a community where our safety is unparalleled.

 

Managing a law enforcement agency with a $24 mil budget requires unique skills, including education and leadership experience. With a degree in business management, a graduate certificate in Executive Police Leadership through the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville, and more than 15 years of executive level law enforcement leadership, I am the most qualified candidate to ensure this county remains one of the safest in the United States.
